websites for schools is not an easy task. There are many variables to consider
i.e. how to communicate and what with. What will work and how will it work.
Fortunately for those are inexperienced with developing school websites, we
have provided you with a checklist from industry experts as to how to develop
properly for school websites.
-Relevance.
Everything that is on your website should be relevant. Whether it is a vibrant
image or content; everything needs to be relevant and focused to three main
groups-pupils, parents and staff.
-Eye catching.
An eye-catching website can sway the eyes of web-viewers. With the use of
design arts and vibrant images, a website can become easily appealing.
-Accessible. The
navigation and the links on the website are obvious so you can get to the
information you need easily. This is accessible
at one level. There is also need to
offer ease of use to those with disabilities (visual for example).
-Communication. What do you want to
communicate through the school and how do you want to do it? Consider the
language and level the school is. Also, consider the strengths of the school
and how that appeals to its audience.
